Media Advisory: DEBATE FOR SALT LAKE CITY MAYOR PRIMARY ELECTION ANNOUNCED

Debate hosted by the ABU Education Fund and University of Utah’s John R. Park Debate Society

Salt Lake City, UT – Today, the ABU Education Fund and the University of Utah’s John R. Park Debate Society announced the upcoming primary debate for Salt Lake City Mayor. The debate will be held on Wednesday, June 26th, and will be open to the general public. The Facebook event can be found here

With a large candidate pool, not all will be able to participate in the debate. Criteria for qualification to participate will be announced in the coming weeks. 

The ABU Education Fund and the John R. Park Debate Society have teamed up for the past four years to offer debates in races for the Utah Legislature, State School Board, and the 3rd Congressional District special election in 2017.

While the ABU Education Fund is the logistics organizer for the debates, all matters relating to format, substance, and moderation of the debate are controlled exclusively by the John R. Park Debate Society.
